Duties and Responsibilities:
- Main responsibility is to install, configure, secure and deploy application server (Linux and Microsoft)
- Respond to support request and provide IT technical assistant to company employees related to the IT systems. Identify and oversee user needs.
- Identify and oversee company needs in enhancing IT system’s performance, security, and reliability.
- Conduct regular backup of servers, computers, and other IT systems.
- Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving with the company’s IT infrastructure, vendors, 3rd party contractors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
- Stays current with technological developments in the information technology. Recommend solution and method that would be beneficial to company’s business operations.
Qualifications:
- At least 3-years’ experience in systems administration and support duties such as running application servers and providing technical support.
- Proven and highly skilled in Linux scripting and configuration is highly considerable.
- Certifications in Linux Administration (CompTIA Linux + or RHCSA), Networks (any vendor or with CompTIA Network A+), Virtualization (VMware or Proxmox is highly considerable.
- Candidates with work experience deploying and administering server hosting Odoo and Nextcloud both on premises and cloud would be highly considered.
- Experience in backing up systems using automated scripts and commands.
- Has work experience in application containerization, Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Can start ASAP.
